What kind of media player do you use? Microsoft Media Player 9 or 10? or PowerDVD 9? or Real Player? I have never use one of them.I use the most powerful video player: The KMPlayer from Korea.KMPlayer is one of the most powerful freeware video players I’ve seen.
KMPlayer play most all videos and Audio formats
The KMPlayer is a all-in-one media player covering various formats for Microsoft Windows which can play a large number of formats such as DVD, AVI, MKV,VCD, WMV, RealMedia, Mp3,FLV ,Ogg, OGM, 3GP, MPEG-1/2/4, and QuickTime among others. It handles a wide range of subtitles and allows one to capture audio, video, and screenshots.
The player provides both internal and external filters with a fully controlled environment in terms of connections to other splitters, decoders, audio/video transform filters and renderers without grappling with the DirectShow merit system. Interestingly, it is said that internal filters are not registered with a user’s system to keep it from being messed up with system filters.
The player can set multifarious audio and video effects, slow down or increase playback speed, select parts of a video as favorites, do various A-B repeats, remap the keys of remote interface for HTPC including overlay screen controls, change a skin dynamically depending on a media type playing, and many more. The KMPlayer is completely customizable thanks to a wide selection of skins and color schemes, just like kmplayer vista skin etc,and the configuration options are very extensive.
It’s a glode free media player, you can change the languages easily.

KMPlayer reviews:
Pros: I didn’t find any media file on my system that KM Player wouldn’t play
—Very interactive …
—-Controls over media n audio streaming is the best …
—-Very Nice for both novice and advanced user..
Cons: MKV’s not coded with properly encoders … It crashes..
Audio equalizer needs few more presets specially if you are watching a movie
Summary: Get KM Player n VLC on your PC .. then no need to get any other thing to play your media…
I always recommend my friend to use this as this is the best player I have ever come across… n always carry a copy of it on removable media..
Another kmplayer review:
Pros: I downloaded this program just for videos & dvd usage because WMP couldnt play some videos w/o a plug-in of some sort…but once i installed it & realized it’s potential I no longer needed WMP or Winamp for my audio files. This program has it all.
Cons: So far I have not found any, usually I would not like the skin of a media player but KMplayer has smooth & seamless layout & the feature that caught me by surprise the most was; the option to change color of the player everytime it’s opened..sweet!
Summary: I now use KMplayer for all my multimedia needs & it’s space saving & is light processor wise but is still able to function with all the tasks at hand whether it is audio or visual. The player itself minimizes to the “tray” like winamp agent w/o all the clutter & hastle of two winamp icons in the tray…Winamp simply has too much going on for a media player. (browser, visualization, equalizer….) too much is evough..this has it all w/o all the extra buttons….I could not ask for more in a free media player…so if you want a simple yet “do it all” in a media platform…try it, you won’t be disappointed. Im never using a different media source again even if i had to buy KMplayer. hope this helped.
