I downloaded Microsoft Free trial of this software package. It works great, it has new features including the new ribbon. The templates are great, and the new text affects. The only thing that brings down the rating of this product is that a lot of the features are not compatible with older versions. This is why they created a new format (.docx, .pptx, etc) which has a higher compression, but only office 2007 can read it. Of course you can save it in the origianl format but then you lose all of the advanced features.

I like the new style and and new features. I love the photo efects in Word and some of the better set up in Power Point. Anywhere I have seen it run it seems to be stable, but I agree that its too bad Microsoft couldn’t have these new features and still use the regular .doc format. For those of you using an older version of Office you can download a converter that automaticly converts the newer .docx format to the typical .doc.
