Firefox 3 Easter Eggs Found!

It’s hardly any easter eggs in Firefox, as the whole software is open source where everybody can see the source code. So it’s hardly surprising or refreshing if there is any easter eggs in Firefox as it would have been known easily by everybody who knows how to read the programming language code. Even so, there are indeed some easter eggs in Firefox 3.

Firefox 3, A Resource Hog?

Ofcourse, No, this is not a Firefox attack, really. I love Firefox, and it truly is my preferred browser. But …

I installed Firefox 3 on Download day, and made sure that it was a clean install. The only plugins I have installed are Greasemonkey and YSlow. It’s a pretty simple and clean install.

AIR 1.1 Now Available-Download AIR 1.1

AIR 1.1 has been released. The big enhancement is support for localized and internationalized applications, the AIR runtime itself now supports multiple languages (Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish), as well as support for building internationalized applications (including keyboard input for double-byte languages). There are other API enhancements, too.

Thoughts On The CFML Language Advisory Committee

CFML has come a long way in over a decade. Over the years the language has evolved, sometimes gradually and thoughtfully, other times less so, but evolved it has. Foundation Flex for Designers excerpt: Flex Builder and Flash

Under the hood, Flash and Flex are closely related. Both work with ActionScript 3.0, both output to a SWF format, and both use Flash Player 9 to display their content. But they are very different in what they are good at. Flash started life as an animation program and developed more features as time went on, but animation is still one of its strongest points, and is more in line with what Adobe is intending it for in their modern suite of tools. Flex by contrast is really good at developing applications and the things that are associated with it—charting, handling data, and such. Sure, it can do animation, but the kinds of animation that Flex focuses on are things such as transitions that take place as menus expand, or items such as images scaling to different sizes in different states.
